Majuba TVET College sets in motion new FASSET Office

Representatives from both Majuba TVET College and FASSET stand proudly after the official launch of the new FASSET Office based at the IT and Business Campus.
FASSET is one of 21 SETA’s in South Africa. The Financial and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) has partnered with Majuba TVET College to assist Finance Management students with skills development in the College, has now opened an office at IT& Business Campus.
Mr. Sanele Mlotshwa (Majuba TVET College Principal) welcomed representatives from FASSET and assured them that the College will work very closely with them to achieve what needs to be achieved. “We are so excited to host FASSET, and appreciate our relationship with you and assure you that, you have the Senior Management and Council’s full support,” Mr. Mlotshwa accentuated.

Ms. Maria Matlosa from FASSET said, “We partner with TVET Colleges to empower the youth. Our office at IT& B will focus on upskilling students and lecturer development as well.” Mr. Amos Nokoane (FASSET Project Manager) gave thanks to the College for its warm welcome and approval to open their satellite office. “It was easy to identify Majuba TVET College as a College to partner with in KwaZulu- Natal, when we were given an opportunity to choose. We will not only continue to fly the FASSET flag high but that of Majuba TVET College as well,” said Mr. Nokoane.
The CEO of FASSET, Ms. Ayanda Mafuleka is also said to be a product of the FASSET programme, which assisted her with her Chartered Accountant qualification. Majuba TVET College continues to look towards building stronger relationships with industries within South Africa and abroad in order to overcome skills shortages in critical arears.
