Mlotshwa saying, “We pride ourselves as Majuba TVET College to host this years’ Provincial Competition and I welcome every one of you, may you feel at home.” Mrs. Nkabinde went on to encourage the students to continue reading. “Reading stimulates your brain, it melts away stress and also improves ones reading,” she accentuated.

Mrs T. V. Dlamini (Act AD: Student Support Services) hands over a prize to Asheen Omaram (Student: Majuba TVET College) after claiming 3rd place in the Book Review competition.
The Keynote Speaker of the event, Dr. Nompumelelo Mahlubi started by appreciating what the Colleges are doing for their students, saying they are nothing without reading. “Those who were afraid of entering the competition have a limited understanding. All of you here have started this journey and you are running with it, that proves that nothing is impossible,” she said.
The adjudicators, Mrs. M. S. Shabangu, Ms L. N. Gigaba and Dr. D. M. Ntshangase were faced with a tough decision as all the Colleges brought their best competitors. In the Book Review Competition, the winners were Asheen Omaram from Majuba TVET College (3rd Place), Sindiswa Gabuza from Mnambiti TVET College (2nd Place) and Siphokazi Cele from Elangeni TVET College (1st Place).
