INTRODUCTION

This National Certificate Programme is delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training and quality assured by Umalusi. The Programme consists of 18 to 24 months theoretical studies at the College and 24 months relevant practical training (Internship training) in the work place.

The National Certificate: Mechanical Engineering includes the N1 – N6 Certificates that enable students the opportunity to improve their knowledge and qualifications in the respective mechanical engineering fields of study in order to be suitable for employment in industry: Boilermaking, Fitting and Turning, Welding, Motor Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics and Rigging.
