Basic Welding (SW1) AP004 Introduction to oxy-fuel manual cutting. Basic manual metal arc welding process. Oxy- acetylene gas welding and brazing. 15 Days
Basic Rigging (BTW) AQ024 Recall and demonstrate overhead crane signals. Use of lifting equipment as prescribed. 5 Days
Basic Turning (DW1) AC005 Introduction, Inspection and Maintenance of lathes. Interpret symbols and tolerances. Grind cutting tools and set work pieces. Practice internal, external parallel tuning, V- threads, taper and tapping work. 15 Days
Various Threads Internal/External (DW2) AC008 Practice square, trapezoidal threads. V-pulleys and between centre turning. 15 Days
Multiple Start Threads (DW3) AC003 Practice multiple threads internal & external. Balance work pieces, calculate gear ranges and do spiral turning. 15 Days
Tungsten Tool Project Work (DW4) AC011 Machine project work with Tungsten tools, copying attachment and spiral turning. 15 Days
Basic Milling (FW1) AM005 Introduction and maintenance of milling machine. Grind tools; set up work pieces using parallel bars. Calculations on dividing head. Boring tasks.   15 Days
Arbor Cutting (FW2) AM008 Arbor machining. 15 Days
Total duration of Institutional Training: 28 Weeks
